This was recently recognised by our success in the "Best Customer Service" category at the recent 2008 SELECT and Cabletalk Electrotechnical Awards.

The event took place at the Radisson Hotel, Glasgow on Friday 17th October 2008 and was well attend by representatives from all sectors of the industry.

This was McKissock Electrical's first year in entering the competition, much to our surprise we learned that not only were we competing against such institutions as Heriot Watt University, but that we had been selected to receive a "Highly Commended" Award for Best Customer Service on the night!

Following our success in the "Best Customer Service" category at the recent 2008 SELECT and Cabletalk National Electrotechnical Awards, we had the distinction of winning “Highly Commended” on our first ever entry to the competition.

Well this year we’ve gone one better – this year we’re going for the treble! McKissock Electrical, established in 1987, have again been selected as finalists in the forthcoming Annual National SELECT (Scottish Electrical Contractors’)Electrotechnical Awards 2009, again to be held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow on the 2nd October, 2009.

In all 3 categories entered – Customer Service, Marketing and Small Contractor of the Year – we have been shortlisted to the final three in every single category, which for a company our size, in a national competition, not just surviving, but flourishing in the present difficult economic climate, has been, we think, a truly amazing feat.

The judging took place last Thursday, 20th August, 2009 and the results will be a closely guarded secret until the grand unveiling on the 2nd of October!

We are currently in the midst of relocation to larger premises at New Road, Ayr due to business expansion, and feel that last year’s award has helped to secure our already solid reputation for consistently excellent work carried out at reasonable prices.
